The type of vines authorized with the development of the A.O.C. Crémant d’Alsace are:

- Pinot auxerrois,
- Pinot blanc,
- Pinot noir,
- Riesling
- Tokay Pinot gris.

All Alsace type of vines can be planting on the localities supplementing A.O.C. Alsace name.

Better localities carry A.O.C. Alsace Grand Cru name. In this case, only biggest culture Alsace type of vines is authorizing there.

quetsche Quetsche is an Alsatian word coming from German Zwetsche who means plum. Quetsche is the Alsatian plum. This variety is lengthened form. Its skin is sunk and its flesh purplish or yellow.



riesling It is in Alsace that this type of vine finds its predilection soil. Regarded as the king of the wines of Alsace, it produces a white wine, which develops a flowers (acacia, jasmine, rose…) and citrus fruits (grapefruit, lemon, orange flower tree…) bouquet.

The wines being marked Sélection de Grains Nobles come from bunches of grapes gathered the grapes tardily, several days, even several weeks after the grape harvest for traditional A.O.C. Alsace and A.O.C. Alsace Grand Cru. The grapes are then sorting one by one to retain only those reached noble rot. This selection produces very rich wines with heady bouquet and liqueur-like taste.

These wines are great severity criteria result. Produced in very small quantity and only in exceptional year, they are an irregular output and a very high cost price.



sylvaner This type of vine produces a white wine which reveals a plants (fern, foam...) and yellow fruits (apple, pear...) bouquet.

These very ripe gathered the grapes give rich wines to heady bouquet and mellow taste to liqueur-like.
